Brock University has the best fans in Canada, including Justin Trudeau.
The Prime Minster met with Oakville North-Burlington MP Pam Damoff’s team in Ottawa Thursday. Among the group was Brock alumnus Chris Ventura (BA ’12), the community engagement manager for Damoff, who filmed a selfie video with Trudeau showcasing their Badger pride.
In the brief video, a smiling Trudeau gives the traditional “Go Badgers Go!” chant.
“I’m so appreciative that the Prime Minister could take some time out of his day to meet with our amazing staff, all of who were over the moon about the whole thing,” said Ventura. “I’m incredibly proud to work for Pam, who took the time to arrange this incredible experience.”
During their visit, Ventura and the team received a personalized tour within Parliament, making stops in the Caucus room, the Parliament library and even getting to sit in Trudeau’s chair in the House of Commons.
While revelling in his day in Ottawa, Ventura reflected on how his experiences at Brock got him to where he is today.
“I’m so grateful to Brock, not just for my education, but for all of the amazing opportunities to get involved. I would not be working in a job I love with great people like Pam without Brock,” he said.
