From 1972 to 2009, Singer was at Montreal’s Concordia University, where he was a professor of Chinese History and also served as Provost and Vice-President Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science, Director of the Council for International Cooperation and Chair of the History Department.

His accomplishments include securing a $2.3-million SSHRC Partnership research grant to set up the Water Economics, Policy and Governance Network (WEPGN), a Canada-wide group of researchers, managers, policy makers and community groups coming together to help solve our pressing water issues.

Renzetti has served on a number of editorial boards, government commissions and panels, including the Science Advisory Committee to the International Joint Commission’s Great Lakes Water Quality Board.

Brock will announce the details of formal searches for both the Provost and Vice-President Academic and the Vice-President, Research positions in the coming weeks.
