Police, Security pursuing indecent exposure incidents

Niagara Regional Police and Brock’s Campus Security are jointly investigating two incidents on campus involving indecent acts. They occurred on March 15 around 5:30 pm, and on March 29 at about 10 pm, and involved a lone male exposing himself. One took place in the Zone 2 parking area, the second occurred outside a building at the east end of the campus. Witnesses described the suspect as dark skinned, approximately 19-25 years old and 5 feet 8 inches tall. In one incident the suspect wore a beige hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, in the other a grey or blue jacket with the hood up.

Police and Campus Security advise anyone seeing a person displaying such behavior to immediately call 911. People are reminded to remain aware of their surroundings, walk with a friend when possible and be aware of the nearest emergency blue-light phone that connects directly to Campus Security 24 hours a day.

Niagara Regional Police are also investigating a trespass at night that occurred March 21 at an off-campus residence on Masterson Avenue in St. Catharines. In this incident, the suspect looked into a female tenant’s room and took photos with a cell phone. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a toque.

Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents should call Niagara Regional Police at 905-688-4111 ext. 4233 and speak to an on-duty detective.
