Good Morning Goodman continues with co-hosts Susan LeBlanc and Najlaa Rauf thanking the Brock students who slept outside last week to participate in the 5 Days for the Homeless campaign organized by the Goodman Business Students’ Association. The campaign supports Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold. Donations to the campaign are being accepted online until the end of March.
Last week’s So You Think You Can Sell competition, organized by the Brock Marketing Association, tested students’ abilities to think on their feet and sell a product to a panel of judges. Congratulations to Goodman students Amy Rudnicki, Alexa Pong and Mikayla Zolis who won first place in the junior category and MJ Kirsye, Rhea Menon and Shubham Ranjan who won the senior category.
Tickets are on sale for Innovation Matters and Monster Pitch which both take place on March 22 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. Innovation Matters is a public event and features a panel of Jim Treliving, one of five judges on CBC’s Dragons’ Den and Chairman and Owner of Boston Pizza International Inc., Bruce Croxon, co-host of BNN’s The Disruptors and CEO of Round 13, Deborah Rosati, corporate director and co-founder of Women Get On Board, and Jason Sparaga, co-founder and co-CEO of Spark Power Corp. and founder of Spara Capital Partners. The four business experts will speak candidly about innovation and entrepreneurship.
The final round of BioLinc’s Blueprint business competition is taking place on campus on March 23. Student entrepreneurs will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $10,000. This event is open to the public. Register online for this free event.
The Goodman Student Ambassador Association is hosting a ball hockey tournament in support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart on Sunday, March 20. Teams can register by visiting the sign up table in Mackenzie Chown A Block this week.
