One Act Festival starts Saturday

On April 2 and 3, the Department of Dramatic Arts launches the One Act Festival: Balancing Acts for the inaugural season at the new Dramatic Arts theatre at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.

Group A will perform a program of four short plays lasting 90 minutes on April 2 at 2 p.m., and on April 3 at 7 p.m. The plays include Krapp’s Last Tape by Samuel Beckett, A Rustle of Wings by Linda Eisenstein, Land of the Dead by Neil Labute and The Anger of Ernest and Ernestine by Robert Morgan, Martha Ross and Leah Cherniak.

Group B will perform a program of four short plays lasting 125 minutes on April 2 at 7 p.m., and on April 3 at 2 p.m. The plays include Play by Samuel Beckett, Finger Food by Nina Shengold, Apoplexy by Tom McCamus and Mexico City by Hannah Moscovitch.

Plays may contain mature content. These are pay-what-you-can performances; tickets are available at the door.
