First-year students asked to complete satisfaction survey

First-year Brock University students are being asked to participate in a survey that is intended to give them a voice.

The student satisfaction survey asks for opinions in a variety of categories including facilities and services, faculty, financing education and whether the university experience is meeting expectations.

The Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC) is conducting the survey and polling students from more than 30 Canadian universities, asking them to share experiences and help shape the future.

At Brock, the survey results are taken seriously and consulted by committees and boards across the University.

“The results are used throughout the year by operating and academic committees at Brock, to seek the student perspective when making key decisions affecting the Brock community,” said Joyce Bott, Brock’s Interim Manager of Institutional Analysis and Planning.

Results from the survey are often also used in publications like Maclean’s and in the Globe and Mail’s University Report.

The survey runs annually in the winter term. The population of students polled changes on a three-year cycle alternating between students at various points in their studies.

Students should have received their survey invitations in their Badger account this week, sent from PRA ON BEHALF OF BROCK UNIVERSITY (cusc@pra-surveys.ca). You could win one of four $100 Brock Campus Store cards.
