The Celebration of Nations highlights Brock University’s true multicultural diversity.
The event, taking place Thursday, March 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Pond Inlet, is a showcase of Brock’s international students’ rich traditions and cultures in a market-like atmosphere. It involves table exhibits with colourful displays, food and musical performances.
Students from the following countries have registered tables: St. Kitts-Nevis, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Iran, Bermuda, Ghana, China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, France, Nigeria, Sudan, Singapore, East Africa, Italy, Greece and Germany.
Highlights of this year’s event include:
• The Aboriginal Services Office will have a table to showcase Canada’s First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples’ culture.
• The Niagara Local Immigrant Partnership council will have a table to introduce their position in helping newcomers to Canada.
• The Francophone Immigration Network will have a table to introduce their services and information about the local francophone community.
