YouTube star to speak at Terry O’Malley Lecture

With more than five million subscribers, Brock University alumnus Matthew Santoro has become a YouTube sensation. The Welland native will be the speaker at the Terry O’Malley Lecture Wednesday, March 2 at Brock.

Santoro (BAcc ’09; MAcc ’10) creates engaging, in-your-face infotainment videos for his millions of YouTube fans. Known for his Top 10 lists and 50 Amazing Facts videos, Santoro always leaves viewers educated and entertained.

Santoro will speak about “YouTube and the Impact of Social Media in Business,” at the 15th annual Terry O’Malley Lecture Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the David S. Howes Theatre.

Created by St. Catharines native and advertising legend Terry O’Malley, the lecture honours O’Malley’s legacy as one of the most highly acclaimed creative talents in modern Canadian advertising. For the past 15 years, it has provided Brock University students with exposure to some of the best marketing and business communicators in Canada and across North America.

Always insightful and engaging, the lecture provides students with information about the field of marketing and advertising and the many opportunities available to them post-graduation.
