GOODMAN PODCAST: Deadline looming for Deborah E. Rosati Scholarship

Good Morning Goodman picks back up this week with co-hosts Susan LeBlanc and Najlaa Rauf talking about the Deborah E. Rosati Entrepreneurial Scholarship, which awards two Brock students per year with $10,000 in funding to allow them to spend a semester working on their business startup idea. Co-op students have the opportunity to use such a semester as a co-op work term. Applications are due on Thursday, Feb. 25. The award also means that students will work closely with BioLinc, Brock University’s business incubator run by the Goodman School of Business, throughout the term and will be provided with physical space, mentoring and networking opportunities.

Congratulations to Goodman students Chris Pace, Josh Ratz, Melissa Trapani, Sameer Verma, Sean Harder, Shayyaan Jafri and Dexter Lautenbach who represented the Goodman School of Business at the Supply Chain Management Association competition this past weekend. This is the first time that Goodman students have competed at this event.

Several deadlines are coming up this week, including the Brock Finance and Investment Club’s Stock Pitch Challenge, where students will prove their analytical skills by writing an equity research report and delivering a presentation before a panel of judges for a chance to win $500. Applications are open until Wednesday, Feb. 24. Students interested in human resource management are encouraged to apply for the Goodman Human Resource Management Association’s HR 101 competition where students will analyze an HR case and present their recommendations in front of industry professionals in the HR field.

Brock Finance and Investment Group and Brock Marketing Association are both holding general member meetings this week.
