It will be a sea of colour and culture Saturday, Feb. 6 as the Year of the Monkey is celebrated in St. Catharines.

The annual Chinese New Year event, organized by the Confucius Institute at Brock University and the Chinese Cultural Association of Niagara, will be held at the Ukranian Black Sea Hall on Welland Ave. in St. Catharines.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. and the Chinese Cultural show from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The show will include Chinese dragon and lion dancing, singing, martial arts demonstrations, Chinese calligraphy and a tea ceremony.
