Brock CCOVI event brings Niagara sparkling winemakers together


The first rule of Fizz Club is it’s just fine to talk about Fizz Club.

Some of the top sparkling winemakers in Niagara will gather at Brock Friday, Dec. 11 for Fizz Club, the annual networking event for the fast-growing segment of the wine industry hosted by the University’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI).

Led by CCOVI Oenologist Belinda Kemp, this is the third annual Fizz Club gathering, which gives sparkling winemakers the opportunity to talk about research developments and openly discuss all issues relating to sparkling wine production.

The agenda for Friday’s event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes blind tastings of research trials and tastings of base and sparkling wines.
