Students and visitors parking in Lot D with day passes can now come and go.
As long as drivers have a valid receipt for the $7 full-day pass, and there’s open spaces in the lot, they can leave and come back, said Wendy Laslo, Managing Director of Visitor and Parking Services.
“On the average day, more than half of people who park there are students,” she said.
A new parking pay machine has been added to the lot, she said.
Full-day passes can also be purchased in lots E1 and E2, near the traffic circle. Day passes are not valid in any lots between 2-5 a.m.
Laslo said it is the responsibility of drivers who purchase Brock University parking passes to know the rules and regulations.
One commonly overlooked requirement is for licence plate numbers to be linked to parking permits.
“Displaying a permit in a car that has a plate that isn’t registered, is a ticketing offence,” Laslo said.
Drivers can link up to four licence plates to one parking pass. To add or change the licence plates connected to a pass email parking@brocku.ca
If you are planning an event on campus, Laslo said checking in with parking services is a good idea.
“We can help with lot allocation, guest passes and signage to make an event successful,” she said. “We’re here to help.”
