Celebrate Kevin Kee’s many contributions to Brock University and wish him well in his new position at a farewell celebration next week.
Kee, Associate Vice-President of Research (Humanities and Social Sciences), is leaving Brock University to become Dean of Arts at the University of Ottawa.
The Canada Research Chair in Digital Humanities and associate professor in the Departments of History and Digital Humanities joined Brock in 2005.
Kee was instrumental in developing Brock’s Interactive Arts and Science program and its MA in history. He has also designed courses in history, new digital media and serious gaming, and done landmark research into using computing to express culture in innovative ways.
While at Brock, Kee helped create the Niagara Interactive Media Generator-Generator at One; the Ontario Augmented Reality Network; and partnerships between Brock and such private-sector giants as the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Kee’s farewell celebration is Friday, July 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Alphie’s Trough.
Please RSVP by July 13 to Judith Maiden: jmaiden@brocku.ca or 905-688-5550 x4315.
