Students, get ready to say goodbye to your Brock email as you know it.
This weekend, Information Technology Services will be making the much-anticipated move of student email to Outlook 365, a web-based service with improved email and other perks.
Outlook 365 is set to launch Saturday and Sunday.
Here are a few tips to get ready for the move:
• Any mobile devices, computers and other accounts, such as Gmail, that are configured to directly connect to the old email server will need to be reconfigured to connect to Office 365. Instructions are available online
•Please change any @badger.ac.brocku.ca email references to @brocku.ca. Instructions for how to migrate your Badger email and contacts are available online.
•POP, IMAP and email forwarding will not be supported in Office 365.
Other Brock services, such as Sakai, my.brocku.ca, Badger file drives or Badger web pages won’t be affected by the change.
The changeover includes re-directing all incoming email to a new Office 365 account. Once it happens, students will be asked to use Office 365 for email going forward. Students will still be able to access the old email system until Oct. 30, 2015.
