Brock’s new Director of Co-op, Career Services, and Experiential Education is a familiar face to many at the University.
Cara Boese will assume the role on June 1, and will be responsible for Brock’s significant co-op program along with overseeing Brock’s career services and experiential education operations.
“We welcome Cara’s experience and expertise in this role ” says Anna Lathrop, Vice Provost Teaching and Learning, to whom the position reports. Lathrop said Boese brings to the position knowledge of co-op and career development, and broad experience in strategic and operational change management.
Boese came to Brock in 2006 as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Co-op Programs Office, after working in on-campus recruiting in the corporate realm. Since 2012 she has held the position of Manager, Talent Acquisition in Brock’s human resources department.
Outside of Brock, Boese’s experience includes serving as a national director with the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers, and co-founder of the Niagara Employment Crawl. She has also received a 40 under 40 Niagara Business Achievement award for her work at Brock and in the community.
