April marks another exciting month at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts. With a wide array of shows for all artistic tastes, there is a choice of entertainment for any fan of the arts.
The Department of Dramatic Arts is featuring several plays including The Dumb Waiter. The play tells the story of two cooped up assassins, one dumb waiter and madness throughout. It promises to be an immersive theatre event and is proudly presented by Stolen Theatre Collective.
Other upcoming productions include: Visitatio Sepulchri, Beethoven Lives Upstairs and Awkward and Uncomfortable.

The Department of Music also has several productions in the upcoming weeks. Later in the month the Viva Voce! choral series will continue with the Avanti Chamber Singers performing Folk Song Sweets. With conductor Harris Loewen in charge, the production promises not to disappoint.

The Department of Visual Arts also has unique events on the bill this month. The Walker Cultural Leader Series will continue with a visit from acclaimed Canadian painter Janet Werner. Werner will pick several student works for the upcoming From Likeness to Fiction exhibition.
There will also be the two-part student exhibition, A Temporary Stay, that showcases the work of graduating visual arts students.
