Brock’s Nursing Department in Applied Health Sciences was recently awarded a new 7-year term from CASN. (Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing)

The recognition is the highest of its kind in the country explained Dawn Prentice, Brock’s Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing.

“External reviewers from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing have reviewed the Brock-Loyalist Collaborative BScN Program and have given both the program and Brock’s  educational unit the highest level of accreditation available to nursing programs in Canada.”

Prentice feels Brock’s reputation in Nursing and Applied Health Sciences will only continue to grow.

“We will continue to develop our curriculum, maintain high quality standards and continue to graduate well-prepared individuals who are ready for practice.”

Brock’s Nursing Department currently features close to 380 students and requires an average in the high eighties for acceptance.

Over 600 nursing students have graduated since 2005.
