Brock’s Graduate Students’ Association recently held a Curling Night at the St. Catharines Curling Club.

Michael Ou, the GSA’s vice-president of International Student Affairs, said the event was “an opportunity for international and domestic graduate students to socialize, interact and engage with the greater community through the sport of curling.”

About 40 grad students participated, including several international students who were trying the sport for the first time.

Gord Watt of the St. Catharines Curling Club said students in attendance “who learned to curl were happy, excited and appreciative of the experience.”

Added Ou: “It is important that we continue to build opportunities for our international and domestic graduate students to engage with one another as well as the community.”
