Fanny Dolansky is the 2014 recipient of the Barbara McManus award for best published article on women’s or gender studies and classics for her study titled “Playing with Gender: Girls, Dolls, and Adult Ideals in the Roman World” in the journal Classical Antiquity 31.2 (2012): 256-292.
The award is sponsored by the Women’s Classical Caucus, an affiliate of the American Philological Association, the primary professional organization for classicists in North America.
