Grad students encouraged to take bullying survey

Ontario graduate students are launching a provincewide survey on bullying and harassment on university campuses.

The survey, Not in the Syllabus, is the first of its kind in Ontario and will inform the development of campus resources designed to identify and confront bullying, harassment and mental health issues for graduate students.

The online survey asks graduate students to identify and describe incidents related to bullying, harassment and mental health issues that they have either personally experienced or witnessed. The information will be compiled into a provincial report and used to develop workshops that will be delivered to graduate students across the province.

Not in the Syllabus is a joint project of the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario, the Public Service Alliance of Canada Ontario and the Ontario University Workers Coordinating Committee of the Canadian Union of Public Employees-Ontario.
