Do you have a passion for playing a musical instrument? Want to show off your talent to the Brock community while donating your time for a good cause?
Brock University Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) is currently putting together a charity-semi formal to raise money for Wellspring Niagara, a not-for-profit cancer support centre for patients and caregivers.
The event, in which 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to Wellspring, takes place Friday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
The GSA is looking for Brock students who would like to donate their time – in 30 minute or one-hour time slots – and show off their musical talents to an audience of students, faculty and staff. Solo artists as well as groups are welcome to apply.
If you’re interested, email gsacomm@brocku.ca or drop by the GSA office (MCC302).
Tickets for the event are available for purchase at the GSA office, $50/person or $90/couple. Tickets include a plated three-course meal with a choice of entrée (grilled salmon, pan seared chicken, prime rib or vegetable risotto), free glass of wine, cash bar, entertainment, door prizes, and more than $4,000 in silent auction items.
