Brock once again welcomed the world when it introduced its newest visiting academics to the community last week.

Brock is hosting 61 visiting international professors, scholars and university mentorship (UM) participants from 46 universities, including institutions from Brazil, China, France, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Sweden, Turkey and Tunisia.

Program participants stay at Brock from as little as three weeks to up to one year, working with faculty, staff and students on campus.

Some visiting professors come to teach courses here or pursue work with a particular faculty member or department at Brock, and are usually invited if there is interest and availability. In many cases, the program participant’s home university or government will support their travels abroad.

The visiting academics were formally recognized at Brock International’s We Welcome the World reception in Alphie’s Trough last Wednesday. The event was also an opportunity for the scholars to network with other Brock faculty and staff, and fellow international participants.
