Fulbright Canada looking for Brock visiting research chair in transnational studies

Fulbright Canada and Brock University have been working together for several years on an initiative that invites American scholars to spend a semester at Brock conducting research and/or guest lecturing in North American and transnational studies.

The Visiting Research Chair in Transnational Studies opportunity is open to promising and prominent American scholars as well as experienced professionals.

Research areas for the position include writing across borders, transnational cultures, languages, citizenship and migration, including approaches to First Nations issues, histories of the cross-border region, border studies, Canadian-American relations, and the image of Canada abroad.

The centre also encourages collaborative work that crosses intellectual and international borders, especially work in collaboration with neighbouring U.S. institutions. The Fulbright scholar program is part of this larger initiative.

The position includes funding, health benefits and Fulbright enrichment opportunities. Application deadline for awards in the 2014-2015 academic year is Aug. 1, 2013. Apply for AWARD 4476 at CIES.org
