Brock University has hired a seasoned technologist and manager as its interim Associate Vice-President, Information Technology Services.
David Cullum, who has worked in the technology field for more than 20 years, starts his new role at Brock on July 18.
Cullum’s background includes two years as IT director for Holstein Canada and 10 years as IT director for the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brantford County Community Care Access Centre. He also spent a decade working as a programmer/database analyst and hardware specialist.
He will head Brock’s ITS division while a full search is conducted for a permanent replacement, a recruitment process expected to go into early 2014.
The Brock position becomes vacant after the departure of Phillip Wright, who is taking up the senior IT position at the University of Toronto’s faculty of arts and science.
