Brock Co-op Accounting students host free tax clinic

Brock’s Co-op Programs Office is hosting a free tax clinic for members of the University and Niagara communities next week.

The free clinic runs from March 11 to the 28 and is entirely run by student volunteers from the Bachelor of Accounting Co-op program in the Goodman School of Business. All volunteers are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Clients have the option of having their taxes reviewed and completed as well as filed with the Canada Revenue Agency.

This learning opportunity provides Co-op Accounting students with relevant job experience that benefits their search for employment after graduating.

Are their income limits to this free tax clinic? Also, I think that it is 2012’s notice of assessment needed rather than the 2011. Is that correct?

  2. Hi Terri,

Sorry for the delay- just saw your comments!

There are income limits: The CRA website outlines the income level requirements:

Thanks for the catch on the 2011- we will need your 2012 (most recent).

When is the last day of the clinic? Will it be functioning tomorrow (March 28th)?
