Brock University has world-class researchers doing cutting-edge work in state-of-the art facilities. Niagara has bright, budding entrepreneurs looking to take their ideas one step further. Seasoned, savvy business people are looking for a good investment.
What happens when you combine all three together? Innovation at its finest.
Researchers, entrepreneurs, business people, graduates, students, and others will mix and match at BioLinc’s first networking event, BioLinc Up, to be held at Brock University’s Cairns Complex on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The BioLinc Up evening includes a brief presentation by an official from the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
The event will be held at the ScotiaBank BioLinc Atrium on the ground floor of the Cairns Complex.
Brock University’s BioLinc helps innovators to commercialize their research breakthroughs by providing a wide array of resources and services. These include:
• collaboration opportunities with Brock’s research and development team, other tenants and students, including co-op/interns and MBA student consulting services
• direct business assistance, counselling and training through Brock’s Faculty of Business, nGen and the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce
• office and lab space with flexible service agreements, including shared use of office equipment.
BioLinc aims to deliver great economic benefits for Niagara through job creation in our community, leading to the long-term prosperity of the region.
Brock University’s bioscience business incubator, or BioLinc, is one of two business incubators that fall under Innovate Niagara, a group of key Niagara institutions that gather community resources in one place to create a focused approach to assisting business development.
The other business incubator is Generator at One, which focuses on interactive digital media. It offers the most robust, convenient and cost-effective digital studio to customers in Canada and the Eastern United States.
