The end of summer is nigh.

But who wants to be the bearer of bad news? So, to celebrate the hot season that was, the Brock News wants your photos of sunscreen-slathered vacations and adventures for its third annual What I Did on My Summer Vacation photo contest.

Not only will it help keep the happy memories alive so you can turn to them for comfort on a dreary winter’s day, it could land you some Brock swag. First prize is two tickets to see Evalyn Parry’s SPIN: A Theatrical Song Cycle starring the Bicycle at Brock’s Centre for the Arts. The second place-winning photo will net its owner a $50 gift card from Brock’s food services.

Members of the Brock community can submit up to 10 photos they took between June 1 and Sept. 15, 2012. They can be scenic views or action shots. The only requirement is that photos have to be taken at a place you visited for fun over the summer.

Photos will be judged by Bob Tymczyszyn, award-winning photographer for the St. Catharines Standard.

Submit photos by noon on Sept. 16 to campusnews@brocku.ca with your name, area of employment or program of study, and information about the location and circumstances in which the photos were taken.
