They’re off!
Wineries from the Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County and Lake Erie North Shore have the opportunity to assess the accuracy of their lab equipment in a new workshop developed by the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute’s (CCOVI) Outreach Committee.
Participating wineries will compare their results to those from the CCOVI lab in order to calibrate their equipment just in time for the beginning of fall harvest. A second will be run using wine samples this winter.
This is part of a larger Calibrate with CCOVI series that will include workshops designed to help wineries calibrate different aspects of their operations including their palate, sales and marketing team, and vineyard.
If you would like receive calibration news, please contact Barb Tatarnic, outreach committee chair, at ccovi@brocku.ca.
