Brock University will be closed for the holidays from Friday, Dec. 23 at 4:30 p.m. until Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Most buildings throughout the main campus, East Campus and satellite locations will be closed and locked during this time.

To access any closed buildings, individuals need authorization (as faculty or staff) or official permission to be arranged in advance through Campus Security. In the interest of security, occupants may be questioned by Campus Security on their reason for being there. Have identification and permission (as appropriate) available to avoid confusion.

Personal safety is paramount. Anyone entering the University during this period should sign in and out with Campus Security at the Schmon Tower lobby or by calling 905-688-5550 x3200. If you do not have a cell phone, you may contact Campus Security using the emergency phone at the front entrance of Schmon Tower. Lab activities should not be conducted alone. Make sure someone knows that you are here.

In case of fire or other serious emergency, call 911, then Campus Security at x3200 to pinpoint your location and facilitate response. Pull the fire alarm if there is a fire or other danger to building occupants.

The Schmon Tower main entrance doors will be accessible from Dec. 24, 2011 to Jan. 2, 2012 from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and from 1:30 to 2 p.m. for faculty, staff and others who do not possess an exterior door key. Anyone entering this way must have a legitimate reason and/or permission to enter the University. Everyone must sign in at the Reception Desk.
