There will be 19 student displays as part of this year's Nuit Blanche Brock.

A sculptural painting that interacts with the architecture of the walls.

A large-scale maze that people walk through, collecting an item that represents the artist’s deepest fears at each dead end.

A karaoke video that people can sing along to ­ — with a twist.

These are just a few of the art displays people will see when they come to Nuit Blanche Brock on Friday.

The annual event will feature 19 displays from Visual Arts students. Exhibits include a sleepover party where spectators crawl into someone’s diary and a murder mystery timed every 15 minutes.

“The work is very sophisticated, especially considering it’s the first time many of the students have been a part of something like this,” said
Scott Sawtell, a Brock instructor and Nuit Blanche Brock co-ordinator.

“This group has been working on some really great projects.”

This is the third Nuit Blanche Brock. This year’s event includes installations, sound works, digital art, mixed media and performance.

The event takes place across campus. It is free and everyone is welcome. Nuit Blanche Brock is from 6 to 11:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. To attend, enter the main doors at the Schmon Tower.
