Brock had team spirit at the 2010 Rankin Run.

More walkers and runners are needed to join Brock’s official team in this weekend’s Rankin Run.

Last year, Brock had 96 participants in the annual fundraiser for cancer care in Niagara. So far, about 50 have signed up, said Sabrina Parrotta, student co-ordinator of Student and Community Outreach in the office of Student Life and Community Experience.

“All the money benefits local families in Niagara who have been affected by cancer,” said Parrotta, who is captain of the Brock team.

Any member of the Brock community is encouraged to join the team.

The run or walk can be one or five kilometres. It will be at the Grantham Lions Club, 732 Niagara St., at 10 a.m. on May 28. Last year’s run raised $520,000.

To join the Brock team, pick up a registration form in the Student and Community Outreach office at Decew 209. You can also register the day of the event.
