Schmon Tower will be closed from 12:01 to 4 a.m. on Sunday, April 3 as maintenance crews do some electrical work.

During recent preventative maintenance on the Schmon Tower’s electric systems, Facilities Management identified several electrical deficiencies. To fix these, crews must shut down the power to local areas in the tower. These areas include power supply to emergency, elevator and IT circuits.

Access to the building during the maintenance time will be granted on an emergency basis only. This is done through Campus Security at 905-688-5550 x3200. Temporary signage will be installed on exterior doors indicating that the building is closed. It will open as usual on April 3 at 6 a.m.
