Media Talk: China uses newfound clout to lash out at Nobel’s choice of Liu

Charles Burton, associate professor of Political Science, was quoted by the Globe and Mail article “China uses newfound clout to lash out at Nobel’s choice of Liu” on Dec. 9. The article is about China’s displeasure at Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo receiving this year’s Peace Prize. Burton was also interviewed by the Mandarin service of Radio Canada International on the same subject on Dec. 10.

Burton was also interviewed by the English service of Radio Canada International on Korean strategic instability. The interview was broadcast on Dec. 20.
