Derek Foster, assistant professor in Communication, Popular Culture and Film, was quoted in the Ottawa Citizen article “Pauly D puts the Jersey in Ottawa” on Nov. 22. In the article, Foster discusses the appeal of Jersey Shore and says most young people are watching the show with a tongue-in-cheek attitude.
“I don’t think the non-watchers should be so scared about the people who are watching it,” he said. “People don’t want to be like the people on that show, but everyone knows someone who is or could be like those people.”
