Two new co-presidents have been named for the Brock University Alumni Association.
Christopher Capredoni and Robyn Mortley will share the reigns for the next year. They will lead an association that represents the interests of university alumni.
After graduating from Brock, Capredoni (BBA ’91) completed a Master of Business Administration at McMaster University, specializing in international business. In early 1995, he formed Capredoni Crystal, Inc., which designs, manufactures and markets retail and corporate crystal giftware.
Capredoni has negotiated business contracts in more than a dozen countries. His clients include Air Canada, the federal government and the White House, for whom he is the official supplier of glass Easter Eggs. Outside of work, his family donates its time to various charities, including the Good Shepherd Food Bank and Clothing Program and the Canadian National Autism Foundation.
Mortley (BA, BEd ’01) graduated from the Child and Youth Studies Concurrent Education program. At Brock, she was a don for the formerly all-female Simcoe House in Decew Residence. After graduation, she became a full-time French and primary arts/social studies teacher at Empire School in Welland. After three years there, she taught in England and Australia. She returned to Canada to teach at Greendale Public School in Niagara Falls.
She is a mentor in Mentorship Plus program and an associate teacher for the Faculty of Education. She also volunteers with the United Way and Big Sisters.
So proud of you Robyn!
