Student Health Services will host its annual Health Fair on Monday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ian D. Beddis Gymnasium.
Guests will have the opportunity to evaluate their own health, assess their stress management skills and test their knowledge of nutrition. Nearly 100 interactive displays will be represented by medical staff from Student Health Services; Brock faculty, staff, and students; and representatives from area organizations.
Featured topics this year include travel safety, tobacco use, substance abuse and various physical and emotional health issues.
“The fair is a fun learning event designed to provide participants with information to evaluate their own health and encourage a healthy lifestyle,” said Melodie Shick-Porter, director of Student Health Services.
The fair includes a flu vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinic, coordinated with Niagara Region Public Health, is open to everyone. Attendees are asked to bring their Health Card and driver’s license with them and wear a short-sleeve shirt in order to speed up the process.
