Town hall meetings will examine Vice-President, Research position

Faculty and staff are invited to a town hall meeting to discuss the position of Vice-President, Research.

The meeting is to get advice on the development of the “position profile”. Members of the Advisory Search Committee will attend to listen carefully to faculty and staff input. Two meetings are scheduled to allow everyone the chance to attend.

The meetings will be Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Welch Hall 204, and Thursday, Oct. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the 13th floor board room.

The committee asks that you organize your thoughts around three main questions:

  1. What are the most important issues/matters that the next Vice-President, Research will face?
  2. What role should the Vice-President, Research play in addressing the issues/matters identified?
  3. What are the most important qualities/competencies that the candidate must have?

The committee also welcomes written responses to the questions noted above. Signed, written material must be received by Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. and can be submitted to Jack Lightstone, Chair, Advisory Search Committee for Vice-President, Research, Office of the President; jlightstone@brocku.ca
