Grads enjoying a pint

Remember those Thirsty Thursday nights at Isaac’s Bar and Grill? Did you share a pint or two with friends in the Skybar after a long week of classes? Can you still recall rocking out to the Battle of the Bands? Lauded as being one of the biggest campus bars in Canada, Isaac’s has been a place for students to unwind and come together since 1992.

With large wall murals of Brock scenes, capacity for just under 1,000 people and perfect acoustics for live music, Isaac’s has been, and continues to be, the campus hotspot for exciting entertainment.

During Alumni Weekend, we want you to relive your Brock days and your Isaac’s nights. If you’ve graduated within the past 10 years, this event is for you. Alumni Pub night on Friday Sept. 17 is the perfect event to reminisce about the good ol’ days with friends and share a pint.

Regularly featured on 102.1 The Edge, ‘Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker (USS)’, will headline the live entertainment for the night. The band describes their sound as a mixture of drum and bass beats, grunge-like guitar riffs and two-step rhythms: “We like to call what we do the campfire after-party. It’s like you’re at Nirvana Unplugged but there’s a drum and bass party and glow sticks all around you.”

In between sets, we’ll play music from the last decade and would love to hear if you’ve got any “Wayback Playback” songs you’d love to hear. Is there a Savage Garden tune you remember from rez?
