Samosas sold to help Pakistan flood relief

About 1,000 samosas were sold at Brock today as the Office of International Services raised money for flood relief in Pakistan.

Proceeds from the sale of samosas, which were $1.25 each or $12 per dozen, will go to the Canadian Red Cross. The organization is participating in aid efforts in Pakistan, where more than 1,600 people have been killed and four million left homeless by a flood.

To donate to Pakistan relief efforts, visit redcross.ca or call 1-800-418-1111. You may also send the Office of International Serviecs a cheque earmarked “Pakistan Floods 2010? and payable to the Canadian Red Cross, and International Services will deliver it on your behalf. Tax receipts are available for donations of more than $10.
