The Office of International Services is having a samosa sale on Friday to raise money for flood relief efforts in Pakistan.
The United Nations estimates four million people have been left homeless by the flooding, and more than 1,600 people have been killed. In all, about 20 million Pakistani people have been affected, CBC News reports.
Geeta Powell, associate director of International Services, hopes the sale gets people thinking about the flood victims and the long-term ramifications to the country.
“We’re trying to give the Brock community an opportunity to help the people in Pakistan, and to bring attention to the scale of the disaster,” she said.
Samosas are $1.25 each or $12 per dozen and come with two sauces. The order form is here.
