Garth Stevenson, Political Science professor, was quoted in the St. Catharines Standard‘s Search Engine column on May 1. Stevenson answered the question “In the United States, the president is commander-in-chief of the military. In Canada, the prime minister is not — the Governor General is our commander-in-chief.
