Hilary Findlay, associate professor of Sport Management, was quoted in “A slam dunk for girls” about a Grade 5 student’s fight to play basketball with the boys in her school. The article appeared in the May 1 edition of the Ottawa Citizen. As provincial bodies, schools fall under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and provincial human rights legislation, Findlay said in the article.
