A long-time friendly face at the Campus Store is retiring.

Linda Klop, textbook course material supervisor, will finish at the end of May. She started coming to Brock in 1976 to visit her mother, Mary Berg, who worked in the Registrar’s office.

“This is when I learned to love the people that worked here at Brock,” she says.

She started working at Brock herself in January 1986 as a part-time cashier in the Badger Shop. She became full time in 1988, and created the first caricature of Boomer, the athletic mascot.

She started at the Campus Store as a stationery and textbook buyer, and was promoted to her current post in 2006.

She has helped organize the Campus Store’s Community Care Christmas Angel program, and has organized the United Way Christmas Craft and Penny Sale for the past 11 years. She also served a year on the Brock Wellness committee.

For fun, she enjoys crafts, woodworking, fishing and golfing. She is a mom of two.
