A well-known former international student at Brock has died.

Zawmin Thein came to Brock as a refugee from political turmoil in Burma. He graduated from Brock in 1994. Long-time employees will know him for his work collecting recycling containers as a part-time employee of the University.

He died in St. Catharines on April 19 after a lengthy illness. He was 43.

There will be a service for him today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St.
