New exhibit features work of 10 students

The works of 10 graduating Visual Arts honours students will be displayed in Said the Attic, a new exhibition at Rodman Hall.

saidtheatticThe annual honours exhibition will feature Michael DiRisio, Holly Gabel, Natalie Hunter, Alicia Kuntze, Maeve McCambridge, Elyse Pelletier, Kaitlin Robertson, Gabrielle Tremblay, Tracy Van Oosten, and Leanne Unruh. The exhibit runs from April 17 to May 2.

The students have worked for eight months under professors Duncan MacDonald and Jean Bridge. The works include found object and text works from drawing, sculpture and video.

The Department of Visual Arts has a long tradition of presenting the work of graduating students mentored in its Honours Studio program. Students accepted into this course develop a cohesive body of work that will support their entry into graduate school MFA programs and act as a strong portfolio for future endeavours.

There will be an opening reception on Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. and an artist talk at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 23. All events are free.
