Family Campaign raises an additional $265,000

Faculty and staff have raised an additional $265,205 in support of the Family Campaign for a Bold New Brock in the past year. To date, the Brock family has contributed more than $943,000.

With the leadership and encouragement of 19 Family Campaign cabinet volunteers led by Tom Arkell and Lorne Adams, 655 individuals — or 45 per cent of Brock’s campus community — have participated in the campaign.

Faculty and staff participation in the campaign leverages federal and provincial government investments. It encourages individuals, corporations and foundations to support Brock in its effort to achieve the goals set out in its academic plan.

All faculty and staff should be proud of Brock’s achievements, President Jack Lightstone said.

“The energy and determination shown by the Brock community this spring has been an inspiration to behold,” he said. “Thanks to the generous support of Brock faculty and staff, we are closer to realizing our $75-million fundraising goal for a bold new Brock and bold new future — something we should all be proud of.”

Faculty and staff who are considering participating in the campaign are asked to visit boldnewbrock.ca/family for more information and to contact Morena Bertholds at mbertholds@brocku.ca or 905-688-5550 x5685.
