Library takes part in electronic survey

Beginning in February, Brock University will participate in a 12-month province-wide survey, a joint project of the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). The purpose of the survey is to assess the use of electronic information resources and evaluate how well Ontario mineslogouniversity libraries are meeting users’ research needs with electronic resources available through Scholars Portal.

Surveys will be randomly generated over the 12-month period. One out of every 250 users will be asked to complete a survey when accessing electronic journals. The survey is anonymous. There are five questions and it takes about two minutes to complete. Users will be connected to the electronic journal they select once they complete the survey. It is possible to decline to participate or withdraw from the survey at any time.

The MINES (Measuring the Impact of Networked Electronic Services) for Libraries survey has undergone administrative review and received clearance from the Brock University Ethics Office. If you have any questions, please contact Deb Kalvee, Associate University Librarian, Services and Facilities, at 905-688-5550 x3198.

We ask for your patience, co-operation and participation so that OCUL can cooperatively improve the collections and services provided by Ontario university libraries.
