Ten students are Cuvée bound

Ten top students from the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Program (CCOVI) will attend an event known as the Oscars of the Ontario wine industry.

Sponsored by the Grape Growers of Ontario, the students will attend the Cuvée gala in February. Cuvée offers a chance to taste wines from across the region selected through a stringent process. All Cuvée-featured wines are judged by a panel of winemakers, so only the finest red, white, sparking and sweet wines are presented at the gala. The best are awarded gold at the Cuvée wine awards that evening.

Attending Cuvée “gives our students – the future winemakers, marketers and research and development technologists – to experience and not only taste Ontario’s finest, but to have the opportunity to meet and talk with winemakers at this prestigious event,” said Barb Tatarnic, managing director of the Canadian Wine Library.
