What do you like about your job?

I work with a really engaging and bright group of people and every day is something different. The dichotomy of people oriented work and solitary administrative and number crunching work really suits both sides of my brain.

It’s kind of inspirational to work in a place where we’re teaching, inspiring and training new leaders. It seems a noble mission.

What do you do for fun?

I really like to read. I love Nordic Noir, like the Sejer series from Karin Fossum and the Erlendur series by Arnaldur Indridasson. I also enjoy non-fiction, specifically on post-Soviet Russia and Russian history in general.

What’s the last good book you’ve read?

Martin Sixsmith’s Russia: A 1,000-Year Chronicle of the Wild East. It helped me make sense of the Russian psyche.
