Welcome to the Brock Research on Aggression and Victimization Experiences (BRAVE) group webpage! Founded at the start of 2022, we are a team of researchers, professors, graduate, and undergraduate students who study aggression in order to help prevent it and to help those who are its victims.
We are currently based in the Departments of Child and Youth Studies and Psychology at Brock. We also recently received generous sponsorship from D’Ont Poke the Bear, a non-profit fund established to help end bullying in Canada and beyond.
On this web page, you will find several different kinds of resources. First, you can see who is part of our group here. Next, we are engaging in a number of different university and community research projects. We can’t do our important work without the vital support of community members, so you can get details about these projects here. Third, given that we are interested in training, and working with, the next generation of researchers we have information for interested students here. If you are an interested volunteer, Honours, Master’s, PhD, or post-doc, this is where you can find that information about how we operate and how you can potentially join our team. For members of the public or the media, we have a list of our presentations, media interviews, and public summaries here. This will hopefully offer a good summary of what we’re interested in. If you want the specific scientific details, you can find a list of our publications here. Finally, if you are looking for something else, or if you want further information, you can contact us here.
